25 Teachers and Students from the University of Zurich in Switzerland Visited Xiangyun Temple

On the morning of April 5th am, 25 teachers and students from the University of Zurich in Switzerland visited the temple, hoping to understand the development of various religions in the United States. The group was led by Mr. Loïc Bawidamann, assistant of the Department of Religion. He saw reports on the activities of the diversification and localization of Xiangyun Temple on the Internet, so he chose to visit Xiangyun Temple. Bob Taylor and Barbara Hewitt, volunteers of the temple tour, were in charge of the reception. First of all, play the video of the Buddha's life in the main shrine. Then, enjoy the outdoor garden and Zen Hall. When we arrived at the tea room, Master Jueji gave meditation guidance, and Sister Qun Li demonstrated the tea ceremony. While learning to taste tea, visitors listened to the venerable reading a chapter from venerable master Hsing Yun’s book "365 Days for Travelers". After the meal, venerable Jue Ji had a Q and A session, and talked about the history of the Xiangyun Temple, the methods of attracting local people, and even how Buddhism promoted the harmonious relationship between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. Finally, the venerable Jue Ji gave lotus and small English book to encourage everyone to do research on the topic of humanistic Buddhism.
