We are happy to announce that the Austin Chapter of the Buddha’s Light International Association will be hosting a Spring Festival Celebration on Sunday May 6th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Xiang Yun Temple in Austin.

This is wonderful celebration for whole family and will include:

  • A huge assortment of delicious vegetarian food and drinks
  • Games and prizes for the children
  • A garage sale with several items including household goods, toys, clothes, books, etc.
  • A silent auction of Buddhism related items

Yang-style Taijichuan is very popular in China. The reason master Chiu likes to teach this particular style is for its gentle and graceful movements. The amount and length of the session is not only good for health but also for a calm and focused mind.  It is convenient to practice, and suitable for a busy lifestyle.

Today, even with many available resources like videos and books to learn Taijichuan, master Chiu thinks that it is still better to have a good instructor to follow in the beginning.
