Introduction of Yoga Teachers
Venerable Jue Ji is a Buddhism teacher. She teaches yoga and meditation, believing that both would lead to a healthy life for people living in the hi-tech society. She has been a Buddhist nun for 25 years and teaching yoga in Austin since 2015.
Venerable Jue Ji was born in Taiwan, becoming a Buddhist monastic at Fo Guang Shan, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. She obtained her PhD degree of Buddhist Studies at University of Hong Kong, and got her RYT-200 Hatha Yoga in Anaheim, California. She has been teaching yoga to students in colleges, employees in corporations and devotees at the temple. Currently she lives in Austin, Texas and serves at International Buddhist Progress Society (IBPS), Austin, also known as Xiang Yun Temple.
Mrs. Lan Vy Avent is owner/ instructor Obelisk Pilates – yoga. She has passion for teaching and helping others to achieve their maximum potential in mind-body-soul.
She has been practicing for over 30 years and has been teaching Pilates, yoga, tai chi for over 16 years. She develops custom pilates and yoga programs for each of her clients, drawing from all disciplines, if necessary, in order to increase flexibility, improve posture, and protect the skeleton system by developing core strength and exercising the muscles and joints.
Vy is originally from Saigon, Vietnam. She lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and George (dog).
US certifications are in Basi master program teacher Pilates, BBU Pilates, Ron Fletcher mat Pilates, 200 RYT Bhodi yoga, 300 RYT San Marco school of yoga, 500 hours E-YRT yoga Alliance, Yogafit, and Chen style Tai Chi. She has taught in US, Jamaica, and Dominican Republic.
